E-Forum

Expose Forum is an initiative taken by the E-Club. Electronic Club, or E-Club, is the official student body of the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa and has a rich history of its own.

The forum builds a platform where the industry and academia of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in Sri Lanka meet, to bridge the gap and to accelerate forward. Every year the Expose Forum focuses on a timely theme and paves way to new flavors of innovation and cutting edge technologies.

The E-Club of the department organizes this forum to showcase the talents of the students and also to create a platform to share experiences with the industry

2018

E Forum 2018

E forum is Tthe platform in which public, industry, and academia of Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering of Sri Lanka meet while showcasing undergraduate projects.

“E-Forum – January 2018” was held on 29th of January 2018, at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

2015

E Forum 2015

Expose Forum 2015 was successfully held on 19th February at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall from 6.00 pm onward with the promised splendor and the escalated industrial participation. Vidya Jothi Professor K.K.Y.W. Perera, the Chancellor of University of Moratuwa, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor whereas Professor A.K.W. Jayawardane, the Vice Chancellor of University of Moratuwa signified his presence as the Chief Guest at the event.

Seven of the most successful final year projects that belonged to several focus areas, were presented by each group at the project presentation session. Keeping up the tradition, E-carrier; the official annual magazine of the department, was also released at the event. Main focus of the event was on the legendary Panel discussion, held as the monumental session of the entire event. Hemantha Jayawardane; COO and Executive director of Millenium IT, Dinesh Saparamadu; founder and CEO of hSenid group of companies, Sankalpa Gamwarige; General Manager of Zone 24×7, Ranjith Rubasinghe; CEO of Mobitel (pvt) Ltd and Eng. Kithsiri Samarasinghe; senior lecturer of the department, were the panelists for this year and Head of the Department Dr.Ajith Pasqual monitored the discussion.

The event met its successful conclusion after the felicitation ceremony which was held for the graduates and undergraduates with significant achievements last year in the local or international arena.

2013

E Forum 2013

Expose Forum 2013 was successfully held on January 10th, 2014 at BMICH with the presence of Secretary of the Ministry of Industries and Commerce. The theme of the event was Facilitated New Directions for the Industry and the Graduates. It was a learning experience for all, with the demonstrations of final year projects, launching of E-Carrier 2013 and the panel discussion.

2012

E Forum 2012

“E forum 2012”  was organized by the Electroni club of University of Moratuwa at BMICH. The Place where not only the undergraduates, but also the alumni and industrial professionals take the center stage!

2011

E Forum 2018

The Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering organized the E-Forum 2011 at the World Trade Center on October 7th , 2011. The Chief Guest for the occasion was the Vice Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa. The Keynote speaker for the occasion was Mr. Saman Ediriweera, a celebrated alumnus of the department.

The annual E-Forum for the year 2005 was held on the 4th of June 2005 at Holiday Inn,  Colombo 3.

The annual E-Forum for the year 2004 was held on the 27th of February 2004 at Kings Court, Hotel Trans Asia, Colombo.
