Careers Fair

The Career fair is a prominent event in the calendar of our department. “ENTC Careers Fair” organized by the Electronic Club with the prime objective of bridging the gap between the fresh graduates and the industry, is the official careers fair of the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa.

The event is organized annually since 2018. The focus of attention of the event was on the real interviews carried out by potential employers of the industry for the passing out batch of the department. That was a great opportunity for final year undergraduates to enter their dream jobs while industry picked the best employees into their journey ahead. The employers also conduct awareness programs to create an awareness about the available positions and their job roles.

Careers Fair 2024

The Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering successfully hosted its highly anticipated career fair on January 5th, 2024, catering exclusively to the final year undergraduates. The event drew significant attention from both students and industry leaders alike, creating a dynamic platform for networking and employment opportunities.

With the participation of nearly 15 leading companies in the field, the career fair provided a unique opportunity for students to engage with potential employers, gaining valuable insights into the current trends and requirements of the electronic and telecommunication industry. The companies present represented a diverse range of sectors within the field, including telecommunications, electronics manufacturing, software engineering, robotics, machine learning and more.

For the final year undergraduates, this event was a crucial step towards launching their careers. They had the chance to showcase their skills, discuss their academic achievements, and make a lasting impression on potential employers. Many students took advantage of the opportunity to submit their resumes and engage in on-the-spot interviews, further solidifying their connections within the industry.

Overall, the ENTCE Career Fair 2024 was a resounding success, creating a mutually beneficial space for students and industry leaders to connect, collaborate, and pave the way for a bright future in the dynamic world of electronic and telecommunication engineering.

The Career Fair for the year 2020 was held virtually on 14th of December 2020. TheVirtual Career Fair was sponsored by Axiata Digital Labs X.O Concepts and London Stock Exchange Group.

Careers Fair 2019

‘ENTC Careers Fair’ is a prominent event in the department calendar. ‘ENTC Careers Fair 2019’ organized for the second consecutive year by the Electronic Club of Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa was successfully concluded on 17th October 2019.

23 successful and leading companies in the industry joined hands with ENTC Careers Fair this time, offering interviews for over 110 final year students of the department. To ensure successful transition from university to the industry, two other sessions, Information session, and the Grooming and etiquette workshops were also organized by the Electronic Club prior to the recruitment day, which was held on 30th of September and 1st of October respectively.

Information Session

The Information Session, which was organized as a part of ENTC Careers Fair 2019 was successfully held on 30th October at the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering with the participation of final year students of the department. The session was done by 9 leading companies of the Electronics and Telecommunications Industry with the objective of informing their potential recruits about the positions available and the projects undertaken by the companies.

Careers Fair 2018

First ever “ENTC Careers Fair 2018” organized by Department of Electronic and Telecommunication, the University of Moratuwa in collaboration with Electronic Club, the official student body of the department was successfully completed on the 8th of October 2018 with the participation of 20 companies and final year undergraduates of 14th batch of the department.

Information Session

The Information session of the “ENTC Careers Fair 2018”, the Official Career fair organized by the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering was held on 1st of October with the participation of leading companies, the academic staff of the department and the final year undergraduates.
