Brief Biography
Dr. Rukshani Liyanaarachchi is a graduate from the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She received her M.Eng and PhD degrees from the Department of Bioengineering, The University of Tokyo, Japan. Her PhD dissertation was on an intraoperative laparoscopic positron emission tomography system for diagnosing lymph node metastases in gastric cancer surgeries. Before Joining the present university, she has worked as a researcher at the Bio-Medical Precision Engineering Laboratory, University of Tokyo. She is working in Biomedical engineering area and her research interests are biomedical imaging and computer aided surgery. Currently she is working as a Senior Lecturer, at the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa.
