Measurement of rainfall level in a certain place is a key requirement in recording meteorological data. The current measurements of the rainfall is done by a conventional volumetric vessel and a manual reading of the amount of water collected within a specific period of time. This research is focused on developing a methodology to measure the rainfall or the precipitation using a purely electrical method. The main drawback in the conventional method is the difficulty in interfacing the reading from the rainfall sensor with an electronic device. Using a weight sensor or a volume estimation method is not ideal for an integrated and robust digital weather station.
SMPL Parameter Conversion: Using the pose parameters from HumanML3D [4], we derive SMPL parameters using PriorMDM [5]. Using these SMPL parameters we generate dynamic human point cloud sequences to construct the 4D representations as explained in the following. The original SMPL parameters are provided as:

This study presents an effective stimulus which enhances the auditory brainstem responses (ABRs) from the underlying EEG. A range of different types of stimuli are implemented and tested using a modified ABR model which is a mathematical approximation of the auditory pathway that generates the ABR. The optimised stimulus is based on a chirp signal which is designed to compensate the travelling delay caused by the anatomical structure of the cochlea, especially at sound intensity levels near the hearing threshold. Results suggest an average increase of 36% in the amplitude of wave V compared to the chirp which used to design the optimised stimulus.
Precise temporal localization of named entities in speech is crucial for privacy-preserving audio processing. However, prevailing cascaded pipelines propagate transcription errors and end‐to‐end models lack the temporal granularity required for reliable frame‐level detection. To address these limitations, we introduce DEnSNEL (Dense End‐to‐end Spoken Named Entity Localizer), the first end-to-end model to perform direct, frame-level spoken named entity localization, without intermediate character or text representations. We reformulate the task as a dense, frame-wise binary classification ("entity" vs. "non-entity"), employing a lightweight encoder-classifier architecture. To improve boundary delineation, DEnSNEL incorporates a learnable complex filter bank to capture phonetic information, and employs a boundary-focused loss that explicitly optimizes span precision. On the SLUE Phase 2 benchmark …

In order to increase the scientific return and reduce the operational costs of long-duration robotic missions to Mars, more autonomous systems are being considered that employ several rovers working on cooperative and coordinated tasks.
The determination of the motor and battery specification is one of the major challenges in the electric vehicle designs, specially considering the different kinds of requirements and specifications in different designs. This paper discusses about a method of simulating a vehicle in given terrains and driver models for extracting the torque, power and battery usage; and hence get the most optimized set of parameters for the given design requirement. The simulation takes the driver as a fuzzy model and the overall vehicle as a non-linear model for calculating the motor and battery requirements according to the terrain, driver commands and traffic condition.
Map building and obstacle detection are basic tasks in mobile robot navigation. In this paper we present a probability based solution for map building which utilizes time of flight information from an ultrasonic sensor. In contrast to most of the available map building systems, this uses a single ultrasonic sensor, mounted on a rotating shaft. Discrete sonar observations taken at regular time intervals, by rotating the shaft in small step angles are incrementally merged into partial planes to produce a realistic representation of environment that is amenable to sonar localization. Readings of close proximity are averaged to suppress the transient errors and the results are further refined by using the sonar probability model to fill an occupancy grid and Bayesian combination for the purpose of data fusion. Experimental results obtained in a real indoor environment are presented to verify the validity of our algorithm.
one of the most challenging problems of field robots is self-localization, which involves incremental update of position while in motion. Though wheel based odometry is cheaper to implement its accuracy degrades when wheels slip. In this paper performance of low-cost visual odometry approach is experimented as a feasibility test for field robot localization. We have used a downward-facing camera and tested localization error in view of various parameters such as frame size, frame rate, etc. A FFT-based image registration techniques was utilized to determine the precise translation distances and heading between consecutive frames captured from ground surface. Basic navigation experiments, including a loop-closing test and error propagation were conducted and interesting numerical results have been reported

Flying and handling qualities are substantially dependent on, and this paper is described it, in terms of the stability and control characteristics of UAV. It is essential to be able to describe and quantify the stability and control parameters completely. It is absolutely essential to understand the relationship between the aerodynamics of the airframe and its stability characteristics to prolong the flight endurance and effective deployment. And this paper is described the stability analysis based on the dynamic model of the twin boom double vertical stabilizer UAV.

LiDAR Subsystems easily absorbed by the eye, thus maximum power is limited to make them'eye-safe'.▪ 1550nm is not focused by the eye, thus usable at higher power levels for longer range (lower accuracy). It does not show under night-vision goggles→ well suited to military applications.
Manipulators with multi degree of freedom for accomplishing various complex manipulation in the work space
An strategic design for Internet-based telerobotic systems is presented. Aspects of safety, stability, capability, accuracy, as well as operator interactivity are considered. A comprehensive set of safety features are built-in to the remote operator interface in order to accept only the safe commands. A laser-guided end-effector helps remote operator accurately judge the geometry of the telerobot’s worksite. Task resolved motion control is used to automatically control as many number of degrees-of-freedoms as possible so that the workload on the remote operator is reduced while improving system capability. Stability has been guaranteed by introducing supervisory control. Length of operator position commands is adjusted as update rate of the visual display changes due to uncertain traffic on the Internet, which helps the remote operator to maintain a frequent interaction with the telerobot, and perform predictive control …
Telerobotics is the teleoperation of robotic devices from a distance and deployment of telerobots in such environments, where it is not economical or safe to have human workers. The challenges for teleoperation of robots are many; time delay, limited perception of the work-site, lack of robot’s intelligence, to name a few. This paper describes how telerobotic systems are designed, their problems, and techniques to overcome them. This paper also describes the Internet-based mini-golf telerobotic system between Korea and Japan.
Results: ANFIS training takes about 30 minutes/epoch on a Pentium IV, 1.5 GHz, 256MB RAM system. And, it could be sufficiently trained in very few epochs (less than 10) provided good data-driven initialization. The trained neuro-fuzzy controller was tested by 10hr simulation under random disturbances and random reference changes at all power levels. The first 1hr simulation results are shown in Fig. 3 for each power

The concept of vision information has become a key feature in modern vehicular traffic control and Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems (IVHS)[1]. Vehicle detection by video cameras is one of the most promising new technologies used in implementing advanced traffic control and management systems [2]. The CCTV Image Grabber discussed in this paper is a low cost design which can capture, store and transmit video information to a remote computer for visual site inspection and extraction of vehicular traffic parameters for adaptive control of road traffic.
